How it works
Four steps, in your own time

Get your server running here
Order your game from the store, or ask us if it is set up on request. Your old server stays exactly as it is while you do this.

Tell us what you are moving
Email the game, its version, your mod or plugin list and roughly how big the world is. We never need the password for your current host: a download of your server folder is enough.

Copy your files across
Download your world, configs, plugins and mods from your current host, then upload them over SFTP or the web file manager. Prefer us to do it? Send a link to the archive and we put everything in place.

Test, then switch
Join the new server and check it. When you are happy, stop the old server, copy the latest save across and give your players the new address.

What does the move cost?
Our help with your first setup is free, and there is no setup fee on any plan. You pay the normal price of your server, billed every 30 days.
What gets copied?
Everything that lives in your server folder: world files, configs, plugins and mods. A MySQL database moves separately: export it from your current host and import it into the free database that comes with your server.
Will my players notice?
Your old server keeps running until you choose to switch, so the only pause is the final save copy and the first start. Players connect to a new address afterwards. If they already join through your own domain, point it at the new server and they carry on using that.
Where does my server end up?
In Lauterbourg, France (EU-West). It is one EU location, best for players in western and central Europe. Run the ping test on any game page to see your number before you move.
